The installation ceremony of our newly elected leaders took place on Thursday, Oct 31, 2013 at our Mother house, Gusau. It was presided by the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Nigeria, Most Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah, with Rev Fr Raymond Nwabueze, OP, Rev Fr Steven Owusu-Achaw, OP, (Dominicans), Rev Fr Collins Tagwai, Rev Fr Iliya Tsiga, Rev Fr Albert Ebosele, Rev Fr Cyril Ibe (priests of Sokoto Diocese), Rev Fr Ephraim Nwaohiri, a brother to the newly elected Prioress General (a priest of Okigwe Diocese) as concelebrants.
Two Sisters from our founding congregation in the United States of America , now Dominican Sisters of Peace, Sr. Margaret Ormond, OP, and Sr. Roberta Miller, OP were also present at this noble occasion to give blessings to their 'children'.
Family members of our new Prioress, Sr Jacinta Nwaohiri, parishioners of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Gusau, Nigeria, friends and well wishers were also present.
We wish our new Prioress General and her Council a successful tenure. Let us support them with our prayers.
